ETBU Nursing School receives Marshall EDC Grant for workforce training

East Texas Baptist University has secured a grant agreement with the Marshall Economic Development Corporation (Marshall EDC) for partial funding of workforce training equipment for the ETBU School of Nursing. With the intent to further develop quality Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates at ETBU, the equipment will be located in the Marshall Grand, the University’s nursing school expansion project. Over $2.75 million has been raised for the project, and the construction of the academic facilities in the Cargill- Anderson Building are underway.

ETBU senior Adryna Roberson receives PACCAR Scholarship

East Texas Baptist University senior and Business Management major Adryna Roberson has been selected to receive a PACCAR Scholarship provided by the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas (ICUT) Foundation and its national partner, the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC). Originally from Corinth, Texas, Roberson is involved with the ETBU Women’s Ministry, Enactus, Student Government Association (SGA), and Women’s Choir, and ETBU Women’s Basketball.

ETBU celebrates record student enrollment for second year in a row

East Texas Baptist University has more students attending this year than ever before with 1,613 total students, a 5.2 percent increase over Fall 2017. The Fall 2018 enrollment represents 23.3 percent growth over the last three years. In addition, the University’s 83 percent retention rate continues to rise with expanded student life and spiritual development activities, academic support and opportunities, alumni interactions, donor support, facility improvements, and athletic participation.
