MARSHALL, Texas (5/05/15) -  Marshall High School and East Texas Baptist University continue to work together in providing high school students with options to receive dual credit hours.  The dual credit agreement between MHS and ETBU, which started 17 years ago, allows junior and senior high students to enroll in ETBU courses and simultaneously earn college and high school credit for the course. 

BASKETBALL (W): MARSHALL, Texas (5/5/15) - Landing a talented basketball mind from the Baylor University women's basketball team, Edsel Hamilton has been named the new head women's basketball coach at East Texas Baptist University. Hamilton has been on the staff at Baylor University the past eight years moving up in his position as the director of basketball operations.

MARSHALL, Texas  (5/04/15) -  East Texas Baptist University held Spring Commencement in two sessions on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center.  ETBU Interim President Dr. Lawrence Ressler presided over the ceremony. 

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (5/3/15) - East Texas Baptist University celebrated its graduates as they prepared for the next stage in their life during spring commencement Saturday.

Held in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center, graduates heard inspiring words from ETBU administration before embarking on life after college.

MARSHALL, Texas (5/01/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Board of Trustees met in regular session Friday and approved a $38.7 million operating budget for the 2015-2016 academic year. This represents a 3.7% increase over the current years' budget.  The 2015-2016, which takes effect, June 1, includes over $10.2 million for student scholarships, an increase of 3.1% over the current budget.
