MARSHALL, Texas  (1/29/15) -  In the course of a friendship, many words are expressed among longtime friends. Friends share laughs as well as hurts. Friends spend time together like seeing a movie or attending a football game. When a close friend is in need and you say, "I will do anything to help you" do you really mean it? How about donating an organ to that friend? 

MARSHALL, Texas (1/26/15) - Reaching out to help the Marshall community the East Texas Baptist University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee had the annual "Make A Change" night raising funds and getting donations for Mission Marshall and the Clothes Depot. This is an event sponsored by the American Southwest Conference every year and the SAAC delegates run the event.

MARSHALL, Texas (1/22/15) - East Texas Baptist University will hold four Premiere Monday events on January 26, February 23, April 13 and May 11.  Premiere Monday is an on campus event designed for prospective freshmen and transfers students.  This special Monday event allows prospective students to explore campus, experience college in person, and ask any questions about attending ETBU.  There is no cost to attend but registration is required. 

MARSHALL, Texas (1/20/15) - Students, faculty, and staff of East Texas Baptist University are mourning the loss of pre-nursing student Darrell Veitch, 39, of Diana, Texas. Darrell passed away on January 17, 2015. 

Memorial services for Darrell will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Simmons Hill Baptist Church located east of Diana at 4221 Simmons Road with Rev. Gabriel Knopp officiating.  

MARSHALL, Texas (1/15/15) - East Texas Baptist University has recognized its students for outstanding academic achievement during the 2014 Fall Semester with the release of the Fall Dean's List with Honors and Dean's List. The Dean's List with Honors are students who have a 3.5 grade point average or above. The Dean's List is students who have a 3.25 to 3.49 grade point average.
