MARSHALL, Texas (07/10/2015) - Taking the East Texas Baptist University baseball brand to New York, Conner Combs had a great week for the Niagara Power of the New York Collegiate Baseball League. From the week of June 29th, Combs was named the NYCBL Player of the Week.

In that week Combs batted .625 with an .813 slugging percentage bringing in four RBI. He had a .684 on base percentage with three doubles going 10-of-16 in four games played. His contributions helped the Power with 11 of their 33 runs scored that week.

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (7/5/2015) - Life throws all kinds of curveballs. Just ask East Texas Baptist University head baseball coach Jared Hood, who's back in his hometown of Marshall.

"I tell people all the time I never pictured myself back but life happens," Hood said. "Your plans aren't always God's plans. To be back in my hometown, raising my 2-year old daughter and soon to b another one, we're around our families and we couldn't wish to be in a better spot."

MARSHALL, Texas (5/28/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Athletic Department, in cooperation with the Office of University Advancement, held the Veteran's Memorial Tennis Complex Dedication Ceremony on campus in the Phillips Great Room of Bennett Student Commons.  The construction of the eight court facility was completed in October 2014 and is located on campus at the intersection of Tiger Drive and Van Zandt.

AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE: RICHARDSON, Texas (5/22/15) - Announcing the top academic athletes in the American Southwest Conference, East Texas Baptist University's athletes were Kirby Moore (baseball) and Sara Clements (softball). These two athletes showed their leadership through academics, service, and character.

MARSHALL, Texas (4/21/15) - As the 2014-15 athletic year winds down the East Texas Baptist University athletic department held their annual Senior Banquet on Tuesday night in the Phillips Great Room to honor their student-athletes. This banquet honors the four-year seniors and the major athletic awards are given out.
