The School of Communication and Performing Arts at East Texas Baptist University invites you to enjoy an evening of classic operatic comedy and song with “Selections From Gilbert and Sullivan Operas,” running November 14-17. Students from the Opera Workshop course will perform selected scenes from three of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most beloved operas: The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance, and H.M.S. Pinafore.

On Wednesday, November 6, East Texas Baptist University hosted its annual Legacy of 1912 Society Luncheon, welcoming ETBU retirees, Legacy of 1912 Society members, and endowed scholarship donors to campus.

The Legacy of 1912 Society is comprised of alumni and friends who, through thoughtful estate planning and other forms of planned giving, ensure that resources will be available to support ETBU far into the future.

East Texas Baptist University’s Department of Communication hosted the Howard C. Bennett Speech Contest on November 7, 2024.  The event, held annually, is a public speaking competition for undergraduate seniors who are graduating in December or May of the current academic year. 

East Texas Baptist University faculty, staff, and students joined together on campus on Friday, November 1 to celebrate Texas State Arbor Day by planting trees and enhancing the University’s beautiful grounds.

East Texas Baptist University celebrated Homecoming 2024 by welcoming alumni and friends to campus Friday, October 18, through Saturday, October 19.
