ETBU Volunteers on MLK Service Day

MARSHALL, Texas (1/22/16) - The morning started out with temperatures below 40 degrees for volunteers from East Texas Baptist University as they assembled in the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center to participate in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. As soon as the volunteers received their assignments and left campus to serve, the chill was no longer noticed as they worked hard in the Marshall Community.

ETBU Presents "A Service of Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs" at First Baptist of Longview

MARSHALL, Texas (1/20/16) - The East Texas Baptist University Department of Music presents "A Service of Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs" at First Baptist Church of Longview. This service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 24, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and will feature the ETBU University Chorus and the Reunion Choir as well as several instrumental ensembles.  The service will also feature Christian Artist Dallas Holm and organist Huey Harpe.

ETBU To Hold Shadow Day, January 21-22

MARSHALL, Texas (1/20/16) - High School seniors and college transfer students are invited to attend Shadow  Day at East Texas Baptist University Thursday, January 21, through Friday, January 22.  Shadow Day is an event sponsored by the ETBU Office of Admissions. 

The visit to campus allows prospective students to spend the night in a residence hall, socialize with current students, visit with professors, and attending classes. Shadow Day participants will join current students on Thursday evening for and on-campus events.

ETBU Students Perform Work Around Marshall in Honor of MLK Jr. Day

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER: (1/19/16) - Classes might have been cancelled on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day but several East Texas Baptist University students chose to spend their day off serving the community in honor of the late civil rights leader.

"Today is a national day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.," ETBU's Director of the Great Commission Lisa Seeley said. "We had about 100 students, staff and faculty in 12 different locations serving today."

ETBU To Hold Duo Piano Recital, January 19th

MARSHALL, Texas (1/12/16) - The East Texas Baptist University Department of Music presents a Duo Piano recital by Dr. Randall S. Sulton and Ryan Chandler on Tuesday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m. The recital will be held in Mabee Recital Hall located in the Jenna Guest Music Building on campus. Admission is free.
