FOOTBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (5/26/15) - East Texas has received an immeasurably amount of rain in May and that has caused cancellations to several East Texas Baptist University football fundraisers. The latest cancellation is the golf tournament scheduled for May 29th.

MARSHALL, Texas  (5/19/15) - Do you know where "Hollywood South" is? If you ask the question to former Miss ETBU Kelly Mills she knows the answer. Mills has been working in "Hollywood South" which is the nickname given to the state of Louisiana after state offered financial incentives in 2002 lured movie makers to shoot their productions in the state.  In 2014, the state of Louisiana was tops in film production edging out perennial leader California.  

MARSHALL, Texas (5/21/15) - The East Texas Baptist University School of Fine Arts is holding a Masterclass for Conductors, May 27-31, on campus. ETBU Director of Bands Mark Crim and Finnish Conductor Sasha Makila will serve as faculty for the classes. 

AMERICAN SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE: RICHARDSON, Texas (5/22/15) - Announcing the top academic athletes in the American Southwest Conference, East Texas Baptist University's athletes were Kirby Moore (baseball) and Sara Clements (softball). These two athletes showed their leadership through academics, service, and character.

NFCA: LOUISVILLE, Ky. (5/20/15) - Earning All-American status is hard to do and the East Texas Baptist University softball team has three NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) All-Americans players this year. Shelby Parker, Lacey Lindsey, and Jayme Perez are all NFCA All-Americans announced at the annual NCAA National Championship Banquet in Salem, Va.
