Tigers Win! Tigers Win! History Made at Ornelas

BASKETBALL (M): MARSHALL, Texas (2/28/15) - History happened on Saturday night as East Texas Baptist University won their 20th straight game in Ornelas Gym clinching their first-ever American Southwest Conference Tournament Championship, 82-71, over Concordia University-Texas. ETBU now receives their first-ever automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament and has won 13 of their last 14 games with 23 wins overall.

ETBU Honors Project Program Experiencing Growth This Spring Semester

MARSHALL, Texas (2/19/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Honors Project program has its largest group of students this semester than ever before.  A total of nine students from seven different academic departments are involved in the honors project endeavor. 

An Honors Project is designed to allow ETBU students the opportunity to conduct advanced research in their chosen discipline.

ETBU Symphonic Band Holds Concert on February 27th at 7:00 p.m.

MARSHALL, Texas (2/26/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Symphonic Band will be in concert on Friday, February 27, at 7:00 p.m. The Symphonic Band, under the direction of Mark Crim, will perform in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center located on campus at One Tiger Drive. The concert is free and the community is invited to attend.
  
The ETBU Symphonic Band is comprised of music majors studying to be professional musicians and music teachers as well as students from nearly every academic discipline.

POSTPONED: Judge Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture Series and Banquet, February 23, at ETBU

MARSHALL, Texas  (2/02/15) - The 20th Annual Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture and Banquet will be held on Monday, February 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Phillips Great Room on the ground floor of the Bennett Student Commons at East Texas Baptist University. The lecture series program commemorates the late United States Representative and federal judge Sam B. Hall, Jr., who was a Marshall native and an alumnus of the College of Marshall, which is now ETBU.
