Maranda Westbrook ('15, '16) earned her undergraduate degree at ETBU while she was a member of the Tiger Softball team. She then earned her graduate degree at ETBU while working as a softball graduate assistant. Maranda remained on the softball staff for three more years after completing her master's degree. She served as an adjunct professor of kinesiology from 2016-19.
Maranda decided to take a leap of faith and try a different side of teaching and coaching by joining the public education system. From 2019 to 2024, she served the Grand Saline ISD school district as a sixth-grade science teacher, middle school volleyball and basketball coach, and high school softball assistant coach.
After prayer and discussions with mentors, she is back home at ETBU.
