"The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." II Timothy 2:2, NASB
Dr. Byron Miller worked in public education for 25 years before coming to East Texas Baptist University. During that time, he taught English at the secondary level for seven years before moving into administration. For 15 years, Dr. Miller served as an assistant principal and principal before moving to central office as the Director of Special Programs for three years.
Dr. Miller and his wife, Cynthia, live in Center, Texas. They have three adult daughters and one precious granddaughter.
Dr. Miller was blessed to be raised by wonderful parents. His father was a Baptist pastor who taught from the Word of God every Sunday. Life has taught him what a treasure it truly was to sit under his preaching. Byron’s father and mother's influence grounded him with a Biblical worldview and a love for Jesus and His church. Dr. Miller believes this foundation makes his joining ETBU a joy and a high honor.
