Meet Dr. Randal Lyle

Dr. Randal Lyle serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Christian Ministry. He is a proud graduate of ETBU (92) and completed a Master of Divinity (95) and a Ph.D. (03) at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His emphasis in doctoral work was Systematic Theology, and his dissertation focused on a critique of Social Trinitarianism as expressed by Colin Gunton.

Prior to coming back to ETBU, Dr. Lyle served for nineteen years as the Senior Pastor at Meadowridge Community Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX. He also has served previously on church staff as youth minister and college minister. His areas of research interest include the Trinity, multiethnic ministry in the church, practical application of theological concepts in the life of believers, and the use of gifts in ministry in Paul’s letters. He teaches courses in Doctrine, Ethics, and New Testament.
