As a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Counseling Program, you have a unique opportunity to gain diverse, practical clinical training in a "hands on" manner - both through supervised field experiences in the community and at ETBU's clinic on campus and community clinic off campus.
ETBU's on campus Counseling Care Center and off campus Community Counseling Care Center provide ETBU counselors-in-training with an opportunity to gain supervised experience providing a full array of counseling services to ETBU students and members of the community. For graduate students, the centers provide opportunities for professional development that are interspersed throughout the counseling curriculum and through formal practicum/internship experiences required for licensure. For faculty, staff, students, and the community the centers provide no-cost services in a competent and caring manner.
Here at ETBU, in addition to the opportunities at the Counseling Care Center and the Community Counseling Care Center for supervised training as a counselor, the graduate program attempts to maintain agreements with local providers and mental health organizations for the purpose of placement of graduate students into formal field experiences for practice required for licensure.
