Overnight Guest Policy
Overnight guests in residence halls must be of the same gender and at least 17 years of age. To host an overnight guest, residents must submit an Overnight Guest Request Form to their Resident Director or Resident Manager at least 24 hours prior to the intended stay. Additionally, residents must obtain consent from all other occupants of the room or apartment before a guest may stay overnight.
All overnight stays must be properly approved through the Resident Director or Manager. Failure to obtain proper approval for an overnight guest will result in a warning for the first offense. Any subsequent violations will result in a fine and loss of visitation privileges.
Guests are limited to two consecutive nights of lodging per week and may not exceed 10 total nights during the course of a semester. These limitations help maintain the residential community environment and ensure the comfort of all residents.
Current ETBU students are expected to reside in their assigned housing accommodations. While occasional overnight visits with same-gender friends on campus may occur, students who abuse this privilege will be considered in violation of their housing agreement and may face penalties or sanctions.
