ETBU Holds Fall Commencement with 72 Receiving Degrees.

MARSHALL, Texas (12/20/14) - Fall Commencement for East Texas Baptist University was held on Saturday, December 20, 2014, in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center, with Dr. Lawrence Ressler, Interim President of the University presiding. Assistant Provost and Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Thomas Sanders, assisted by academic deans, presented the graduating class.

MARSHALL, Texas (12/19/14) - Looking forward to the new year in social media, the East Texas Baptist University athletic department has made some changes in social media for branding and social media index points. ETBU has changed their main social media accounts to GoETBUTigers in an effort to put all their social media channels in one area with one name to find ETBU easier.

ETBU Announces Keynote Speaker for Fall Commencement on Dec. 20th

MARSHALL, Texas (12/18/14) - The Office of Academic Affairs at East Texas Baptist University announces that the former Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) Director of the Texas Baptist Christian Life Center and director for the Advocacy Care Center and current Executive Coordinator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) Suzii Paynter will be the keynote speaker for Fall Commencement. The CBF is a Christian network comprised of people and churches that work together to inspire good in the world.  Fall Commencement will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 10:00 a.m.

ETBU To Graduate First MBA Class On Saturday

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (12/16/14) - The Fred Hale School of Business at East Texas Baptist University will be graduating its first ever class of MBAs in entrepreneurial leadership at fall commencement exercises at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center.

The new program began last fall, and it is something that Dr. Scott Ray, dean of the school of business, is personally excited about.

East Texas Baptist University to Host Congreso Experience February 17

East Texas Baptist University will host a Congreso Experience on Saturday, February 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event, held in partnership with Texas Baptists (BGCT), is designed for Hispanic students in 6th grade and above to explore the Christ-centered college experience available at ETBU. Congreso provides students with a unique opportunity to embrace a college education and pursue the call of God in their lives.
