126 graduate from ETBU on Saturday

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (5/3/15) - East Texas Baptist University celebrated its graduates as they prepared for the next stage in their life during spring commencement Saturday.

Held in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center, graduates heard inspiring words from ETBU administration before embarking on life after college.

ETBU Trustees Approve 2015-2016 Budget

MARSHALL, Texas (5/01/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Board of Trustees met in regular session Friday and approved a $38.7 million operating budget for the 2015-2016 academic year. This represents a 3.7% increase over the current years' budget.  The 2015-2016, which takes effect, June 1, includes over $10.2 million for student scholarships, an increase of 3.1% over the current budget.

Dr. Randel Everett To Be ETBU's Spring Commencement Speaker

MARSHALL, Texas  (4/27/15) - East Texas Baptist University announces that Dr. Randel Everett, co-founder and President of the 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative, will be the keynote speaker for Spring Commencement. Dr. Everett has spent four decades pastoring churches, most recently as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Midland. ETBU will hold two commencement ceremonies, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 2, 2015, in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center.

ETBU Fred M. Hale School of Business Recognizes Top Students

MARSHALL, Texas (4/25/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Fred M. Hale School of Business honored students for the 2014-2015 academic year by recognizing top individuals in the program.  The annual year-end ceremony was held in the Hale School of Business Building on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
 
Audrey Winders of Kingwood received the Fred M. Hale School of Business Academic Award for having the highest grade point average of 3.98.  She also received the Dean's Award chosen by the Dean of the School of Business and is deemed as most likely to succeed.
