FOOTBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (10/29/15) - Kendall Roberson didn't break the NCAA Division III rushing record but he sure did run for a lot of yards. Roberson became only the eight NCAA Division III and 17th NCAA player to rush for over 400 yards in a game on Saturday, October 24, against Belhaven University.

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (10/24/15) - Nell Wilkerson is East Texas Baptist University's oldest living alumni at 99 years old and she feels she has lived this long in order to receive a prestigious award from her alma mater.

Nell was one of three university alumni to be named a Golden Lightkeeper by the university's alumni association on Friday.

"I often wondered why I was hanging around this world for so long," Nell said Friday. "I think this might have had something to do with it."

MARSHALL, Texas (10/22/15) - The 4th annual "Engage@ETBU" conference will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The conference provides information about leading the church into the 21st Century. The keynote speaker is Dr. Jimmy Dorrell, pastor of the Church under the Bridge and Executive Director of Mission Waco. The yearly conference at East Texas Baptist University is for area ministers and church members.  

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER: (10/23/15) - East Texas Baptist University cemented its spot in history on Thursday with the dedications of two historical markers on the front lawn of its Marshall Hall.

State Rep. Chris Paddie of Marshall was on hand to read proclamations declaring the southern Baptist university and its Marshall Hall building as state historical sites.

The two historical marker dedications were celebrated as part of the university's observance of "Founders Day." 

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (10/27/15) - East Texas Baptist University students on Monday visited with ministries from across the globe to fulfill their calling to serve God during the university's annual Mission Marketplace event.

More than 40 ministries were on hand to discuss volunteer opportunities with students.
