ETBU Students Share the Gospel and Serve at Beach Reach in South Padre Island

During spring break, a team of 22 students from East Texas Baptist University’s Baptist Student Ministry participated in Beach Reach, a ministry outreach in South Padre Island. Through service, prayer, and evangelism, the students provided free transportation, meals, and spiritual guidance to spring breakers visiting the island.

ETBU Tennis serves in Paris, France

The East Texas Baptist University Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams traveled to Paris, France from Thursday, May 30 through Sunday, June 9 as a part of the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience (TAME) program. Led by Great Commission Center and Global Education Director Lisa Seeley, Head Coach Jeff Bramlett, and Assistant Coach Drew Lambert, the group of 15 consisting of athletes and staff partnered with the International Sports Federation (ISF) and Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in evangelism and ministry surrounding the French Open at Roland Garros.

ETBU’s Worship Summit encourages generations of church musicians

East Texas Baptist University, along with Texas Baptists (BGCT), hosted the third annual Worship Summit on Thursday, November 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in ETBU’s Ornelas Student Center. The gathering focused on the spiritual health of worship pastors with presentations on balancing responsibilities, building relationships, and finding rest.

ETBU Volleyball serves in Eastern Europe through TAME

The East Texas Baptist University Volleyball Team spent Spring Break in Eastern Europe as a part of the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience (TAME) program. The group of 16, led by Vice President for Athletics Ryan Erwin and his wife, Kristy, along with Head Volleyball Coach Keely Peterson, partnered with two ETBU alumni currently serving overseas. Through TAME, the Tigers were enabled to engage in outreach by hosting volleyball clinics, teaching English, and competing with local club teams.
