The School of Christian Studies and Humanities recently held a small academic conference sponsored by Phi Alpha Theta, Sigma Tau Delta and Theta Alpha Kappa. The idea for this conference was first conceived as an opportunity for students to gain experience presenting academic work in an environment that is encouraging and familiar. Although the conference is on a very small scale, it is designed to introduce students to the structure and format they might encounter at a large conference. Faculty members hope that the experience will build confidence and that students will be encouraged to share their work at a larger academic conference.
- Faith Pratt, representing the Department of Languages and Literature presented a paper titled, “The Aleph”
- Timberlin St. Marie, representing the History Department presented a paper titled, “New Thought as a Catalyst for Women’s Rights,”
