Steps To Complete The Admissions Process

Transfer admission to East Texas Baptist University is based on the amount of transferable hours from previous institutions. Students must have at least 24 transferable hours to be excluded from the freshman admissions standards and must be in good academic standing at the last college attended. Transfer students are strongly encouraged to begin the application process 2 - 3 months prior to the start of the term they plan to enroll.

By following the checklist below, you will be well on your way to completing the application process.

  • Submit the Application for Undergraduate Admission
  • Submit $25 Application Fee 
  • Submit official copies of all transcripts.*
  • Exhibit good character, as seen by the University.
Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Transfer students who have earned at least 24 hours of transferable credit with at least a 2.0 GPA will be admitted to the university.
Transfer students who have less than 24 transferable hours must meet the Freshman admission standards (recalculated high school GPA of 2.75 or higher). 
Non-graduates of high school may submit a General Education Diploma (GED) certificate. These prospective students must also have a composite ACT of 18 (excluding Writing) or a Math/Verbal composite SAT score of 940 for acceptance to the University.
All transfers students must submit all official transcripts from all colleges attended. For transcripts to be considered official, they must come directly to ETBU from the issuing institution in the mail or SPEEDE. 
All students must be in good academic standing at the last college attended.
