Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 22-23: Closed
Monday-Tuesday, Nov. 24-25: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Card access only)
Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 26-29: Closed
Sunday, Nov. 30: Regular Hours Resume (4 PM - Midnight) - card access only.

As you are likely aware, the United Way Fund Drive is currently underway in Harrison County. The local United Way raises funds for 22 different agencies which rely on the generosity of citizens of Marshall. These are great organizations that do important work for people in need in a variety of ways. Some of our own faculty and staff have family members who work in these organizations.

East Texas Baptist University faculty and staff contribute in myriad ways to our community, and the United Way is another expression of our commitment. To that end, would you consider giving again this year to the good work of the United Way? Attached is a short form to complete and return to...

ETBU OBSERVES THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY BREAK
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (11/24/14) - The administrative offices of East Texas Baptist University will close November 26-28, 2014, for the Thanksgiving Holidays. Classes will not be held November 24-28. Classes will resume and administrative offices will re-open on Monday, December 1, 2014, at 8:00 a.m.

ETBU THEATRE ARTS DEPARTMENT PRESENTS THE PROOF, DECEMBER 4TH-7TH
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (11/19/14) - The Department of Theatre Arts at East Texas Baptist University presents their fall production - The Proof by David Auburn under the direction of senior Casey Papas. Performances will be on Thursday-Saturday, December 4-6 at 7:30 p.m. nightly with a matinee on Sunday, December 7 at 2:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre of the Jenna Guest Music Building located on the ETBU campus.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE APPROVES ETBU "J-PROGRAM"
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (11/18/14) - East Texas Baptist University has received approval or "redesignation" of its international "J-Program" by the United States Department of State. A "J-Program" is the designation that the State Department gives to schools and other organizations that host and send exchange students, researchers, and professors. ETBU has been involved with the exchange of professors and students from international schools for over 20 years.

ETBU & KSLA HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (11/28/14) - East Texas Baptist University is inviting everyone to participate in a Food Drive that will benefit the residents of Marshall and Harrison County. ETBU, in cooperation with KSLA-TV Shreveport, will be collecting canned food items on Wednesday, December 3 from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. in front of Marshall Hall on campus.

TIGER QB WARBINGTON SEMI-FINALIST FOR GAGLIARDI AWARD
 
   COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (11/25/14) - More history is being made for the East Texas Baptist University football team as junior quarterback Josh Warbington (Hallsville, Texas) is a top 10 semi-finalist for the NCAA Division III Gagliardi Trophy. This is the first time a player from ETBU has been awarded a spot on the ballot as a top 10 semi-finalist and he becomes the 10th player from the American Southwest Conference to be up for the NCAA Division III Player of the Year. The ASC has not had a top 10 finalist since 2010.

AWARDS: ETBU EARNS TWO SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS
 
   CROSS COUNTRY (M&W): RICHARDSON, Texas (11/24/14) - Receiving a sportsmanship award tells a lot about the coach and the program. The East Texas Baptist University men's and women's cross country programs have been awarded the sportsmanship awards for the 2014 season. This is the second year in a row that the women's cross country team has been given the award.

   BASKETBALL (M): MARSHALL, Texas (11/22/14) - After a week off between games, the East Texas Baptist University men's basketball team looked like it rested well as they lead the whole game; coming away with their second straight win at Ornelas to start the season by defeating Centenary 78-64.

HOOPS FOR HOPE GAME, DEC. 2
 
   BASKETBALL (M): MARSHALL, Texas (11/24/14) - Hosting their annual Hoops for Hope game on Tuesday, December 2nd, the East Texas Baptist University men's basketball team will be selling pink socks to raise funds for the ETBU Softball Strike Out Cancer fund. Socks are $15 per pair and you can send your order to Janae Shirley.
