       The Twelfth Annual East Texas Christian Writers Conference will take place October 24 and 25, 2014. We will need volunteers to assist with the conference in different ways Friday, October 24, 2014, 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 25, 2014 beginning at 8:00 a.m. with registration and continue through 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. in the afternoon. We need several ETBU students, faculty and staff members to volunteer to assist with the conference. We need several to help us with the workshops to assist the presenters. ETBU SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS PRESENTS FALL MUSICAL
 
   MARSHALL, Texas (9/22/14) - East Texas Baptist University's School of Fine Arts presents their fall musical, Urinetown, by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollman as a benefit to raise money for Hope Springs Water. Performances for Urinetown will be at the Marshall Convention Center, located at 2501 East End Boulevard, Marshall, Texas. Production dates are October 2-4 at 7:30 p.m and October 5 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 general admission; reservations are not required.

ETBU ROLLS OVER UT-TYLER IN HOME RETURN
 
   VOLLEYBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (9/30/14) - Moving their win streak to six straight games and staying in the hunt for first place in the American Southwest Conference, East Texas Baptist University (7-8/5-1) swept the University of Texas-Tyler, 25-15, 25-21, 25-16, in Ornelas Gym. ETBU has now won 15-straight matches in Ornelas dating back to 2012.

OFFENSIVE ATTACK, TEAM PLAY LEAD TO 68-15 VICTORY OVER MILLSAPS
 
   FOOTBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (9/27/14) - Setting the tone right from their first possession of the game the East Texas Baptist University football moved to 3-0 in Ornelas Stadium in 2014 as they ignited for 68 points over Millsaps College (1-2). ETBU scored 47 points in the first half en route to the 68-15 blowout over Millsap moving to 3-1 for the first time since 2008.

ETBU MEN RUN AT RHODES INVITATIONAL
 
   CROSS COUNTRY (M): MEMPHIS, Tenn. (9/27/14) - In a race that featured 18 teams and over 170 runners, the competition at the Rhodes Invitational was fierce for the East Texas Baptist University men's cross country team. There were Division I schools competing at this meet, including the University of Memphis and Arkansas State, and other schools throughout D2 as well as D3. ETBU finished 16th as a team.

   CROSS COUNTRY (W): MEMPHIS, Tenn. (9/27/14) - In their toughest race yet, the East Texas Baptist University women's cross country team ran against 15 other schools in a 6k race at the Rhodes Invitational on Saturday. ETBU finished 15th as a team.

ETBU DOMINATES IN SWEEP OF SUL ROSS STATE
 
   VOLLEYBALL: ALPINE, Texas (9/26/14) - After sweeping their last four matches, the East Texas Baptist University volleyball rolled into Alpine for a match with Sul Ross State and from there rolled to their fifth straight win, 25-15, 25-13 and 25-8.
