Pasting Into Open CMS

If you paste into the CMS from just about anywhere there is a good chance you will introduce bad HTML into your page. This is in the top ten reason that pages do not get published. You may be more comfortable writing your text in word, so here is how you paste from word, email or web page into a openCMS page with free text.

Note: You should never paste a picture to a webpage in the openCMS.

1. Select and copy the text you wish to paste into your webpage

Two possible things can happen.

If you are asked if openCMS can have access to the paste board click allow. If you click allow you are done and the text is pasted at your insertion point and you are done.

AllowAccess

If you deny it access, you will receive a dialog asking you to paste your text into the text area.

pasteAsPlaintextDialogpastedDialog

Paste it into the dialog text area and click okay. The text will insert at your insertion point and you are done.
