We invite you all to join us for the Spring 2015 Reunion Choir event. The ETBU Choirs, including alumni and friends, and the A Capella Choir of Wiley College will be joining the Longview Symphony Orchestra to present a program entitled Celebrate Freedom. The concert will take place at the Belcher Center in Longview, Texas and the entire performance will be conducted by Dr. Justin Hodges (ETBU Choral Director), Stephen Hayes (Wiley College Choral Director), and Dr. Thomas Webster (ETBU School of Fine Arts Dean). There is no fee or cost of participating, and we encourage any and all ETBU alumni and friends to join us in making this one of the biggest events in the history of our music program. Call 903-923-2158 or email to let us know of your interest, obtain a rehearsal schedule and music, and register to sing with us in this great concert. We hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome to the ETBU Department of Music!
The Department of Music provides a diverse program of training in music that reflects historical traditions of music, music education, and music ministry leadership. It seeks to broaden each student's knowledge of musical practice and to challenge all students to develop and utilize their artistic talents in both secular and sacred contexts in ways consistent with their Christian worldview. Further, the Department of Music prepares students for opportunities to study music at the graduate level in varying areas of specialization and for professional success in vocations in the field and its related fields.

The Music Department of East Texas Baptist University is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and thereby meets the highest national standards in each and every area of study within the discipline.

Join us at our next concert. The Department of Music presents many concerts and recitals throughout the academic year, and most are provided free to public. Visit our online calendar of events to find out more about upcoming events, and contact the Fine Arts Office for more information.
