Ignite 2014


60+ students from residential life, student activities, athletic teams, campus organizations, and many other leadership positions gathered at Scottsville Retreat Center for our annual leadership retreat. Each year, the retreat focuses on 3 major areas of student leadership development:

Practical Skills for Leadership
Understanding Foundations of Leadership
Preparing Spiritually as Leader

At Ignite 2014, students focused on the following areas of leadership skill development:

Healthy Conflict Resolution
Delegation and Effective Time Management
Leading Team Members with Diverse Personalities

Friday, April 11

4:45 PM - Check-in Begins

5:00 PM - Dinner in Bennett Student Commons

6:00 PM - Travel to Retreat Center

7:00 PM - Session 1: with Special Guest Coach Joshua Eargle

8:00 PM - Session 2: Handling Difficult Conversations with Special Guest Carlton Mitchell

9:00 PM - Campfire with Dr. Dub

10:30 PM - Late Night Activities


Saturday, April 12

9:15 AM - Worship & Personal Reflection

10:00 AM - Workshop Selection 1 (4 to choose from)

11:00 AM - Workshop Selection 2 (4 to choose from)

Noon - Lunch & Conversation

1:00 PM - Group Planning Time

2:00 PM - Ignite Session 3 - Handling Conflict with Special Guest Carlton Mitchell

3:00 PM - Final Session
