Introduction to the THEA Quick Test
This test is offered on campus as a service to our ETBU Teacher Education students only. The education department will handle the sign-up procedure for you. Please remember this is a requirement to enter the education program! The THEA test consists of three sections: Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. Each section of the THEA test is designed to measure a student's academic skill against an established standard of competence. A student's scores are based on his or her performance in relation to the skills being tested. The test allows a maximum of fives hours to complete. For a complete list of THEA test skills, refer to the THEA Test Preparation Quick Reference Guide.
The Quick THEA testing fee is $50. In order to register, you must pay the Business Office (903-923-2055) the $50.00 fee and bring the receipt to the Office of Academic Success and Graduate Services, Marshall Hall, Suite 301 (903-923-2076) to finalize your registration.
