Associate Professor of Psychology and Counselor Education
I am licensed as a professional counselor, professional counselor supervisor, and marriage and family therapist in Texas, and I had maintained a private practice in Tyler, Texas, since 1982. The emphasis of my counseling practice has been in marriage and family therapy, but I have also performed life coaching and consulting as well. I have also served previously as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Union University and Executive Director of Grace Counseling Center in San Antonio, Texas. I have also served for three years as a Miltary and Family Life Consultant for the United States' Army and Air Force. Previously, I have served as an Intentional Interim Pastor and Leadership Consultant with the United Methodist Church.
I currently live in Marshall, Texas, with my wife, Nan. We've been married 45 years with two grown sons and three cats.
