Originally from South Carolina, Andrew Pressley has served the church in the area of music since the age of nineteen. He plays guitar, percussion, keyboard instruments, mandolin, banjo, and other folk instruments. Andrew currently serves as an associate pastor at First Baptist Church of Lindale, TX, where he oversees the music and worship ministry of the church, working with a choir and contemporary band each week.
Andrew has taught music in classroom and private settings since 2002 in the areas of music theory, guitar, worship studies, recording technology, and songwriting. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Baptist Church Music Conference. Andrew has also been called upon as a preacher, lecturer, and guest musician for various conferences and other special events.
In regards to the music of the church, he says, “My ministry objective is to glorify God by equipping the saints, edifying the church, and proclaiming the gospel by utilizing gifts God has graciously fostered in the local church. I have a strong heart for Word-driven multi-generational worship, and I try to employ excellent music from many appropriate styles. I find great joy in seeing believers align their lives and Jesus’ church with the standards of Scripture.”
