In addition to meeting the certification requirements of the Teacher Education Program, individuals must also take and pass the appropriate TExES and/or ExCET exams that are required by the State of Texas.
The TExES/ExCET exams are given five or six times per year. The number of times given, test dates, locations and fees are determined by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
