Accreditation

Policy Statement
The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness serves as the liaison with the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), responsible for monitoring all aspects of the accreditation requirements of the Commission.

Facts of Interest
     •    The Dean of Academic Services and Institutional Research serves on the Leadership Team
          for the reaffirmation of accreditation. 
     •    The Dean of Academic Services and Institutional Research is responsible for monitoring the
          latest accreditation requirements of SACS, including providing guidance in substantive 
          changes in the institution's programs.

Procedures
     •    Each fall the OIRE compiles the information required for the annual SACS Institutional Profile. 
          This report is prepared for the President who submits it to SACS.
     •   The Dean of Academic Services and Institutional Research attends the annual meeting of
          the Commission on Colleges in order to stay informed of SACSCOC issues and interests.
