Tigers release 2010 football schedule
MARSHALL, Texas (3/5/10) – ETBU’s 2010 football schedule will appear at first glance to be the same as 2009, with the only difference coming in the dates and locations.

It appeared to those who were driving on Van Zandt Avenue that every piece of equipment of the Marshall Fire Department was on campus and some type of crisis was occurring.
ETBU To Host East Texas Christian Writers Conference, April 9-10th

ETBU's Chambers named ASC East Defensive Player of Year for second straight season

The Choral Concert will be held in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.

ETBU Debate Takes Second Place at Tournament
MARSHALL, Texas (3/01/10)- The East Texas Baptist University debate team won the Second Place Sweepstakes Award at the Reddie to Rumble debate tournament hosted by Henderson State University February 27 and 28. ETBU won over other schools competing at the tournament including Stephen F. Austin State University, Sam Houston State University, University of Central Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff.
ASC Tournament: Tigers Fall to UTD
Belton, TX (2/27/10) – The University of Texas at Dallas men’s basketball team controlled the game from the opening tip and the defending American Southwest Conference championships cruised into another title game with an 86-54 victory over East Texas Baptist in the semifinals of the ASC Tournament Saturday in Belton. The Comets improve to 23-4 on the season with the victory. The loss ends the Tigers season with a 15-12 overall record.
Tigers Beat McMurry for First-Ever ASC Tournament Victory
BELTON, Texas (2/26/10) – A big second-half surge helped ETBU to its first-ever ASC Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament win Friday, as the Tigers eased past McMurry 85-77 in the first round of the tournament at the Mayborn Center. The victory was ETBU’s ninth in the last 10 games and sends the Tigers (15-11) into a conference semifinal matchup on Saturday afternoon against defending ASC champion Texas-Dallas (22-4), which cruised past Sul Ross State earlier Friday.
ETBU Awards Madeleine Hall the First Sam B. Hall, Jr. Civic Service Award

Hall, Jr. Lecture Series Banquet held Monday evening, February 22, 2010, in the Heritage Room of the Mayme Jarrett Library. Madeleine, who passed away in October 2009, was the wife of Judge Sam B. Hall, Jr.
ETBU Symphonic Band Presents “Songs and Dances” on Friday, February 26
MARSHALL, Texas (2/23/10)- The East Texas Baptist University Symphonic Band will present a concert of “Songs and Dances” Friday, February 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center located on campus at 1209 North Grove Street. The concert is free to the public.
Faculty Piano Recital Rescheduled to March 2
MARSHALL, Texas (2/22/10)- The faculty piano recital by Dr. Randall S. Sulton, Professor of Music at East Texas Baptist University, originally set for February 23 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 2, in Mabee Recital Hall of the Jenna Guest Music Building at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
ETBU Lady Tigers and Tigers Head to Post Season Play
MARSHALL, Texas (2/20/10)- East Texas Baptist University capped an impressive end to the regular season Saturday, February 20, by rolling to a 78-61 win over University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark. The victory was the Tigers’ eighth in the last nine games and came just two days after a frustrating eight-point loss at nationally-ranked Texas-Dallas. The Tigers (14-11) will now focus on the American Southwest Conference Tournament, which begins Friday in Belton with ETBU taking on ASC West No. 2 seed McMurry at 2:30 p.m.

A large crowd was on hand for the proceedings staged in the Heritage Room in the Mamye Jarrett Library on ETBU's campus.

MARSHALL, Texas (2/10/10) – ETBU will open the season as the No. 2-ranked NCAA Division III softball team in the nation later this month, with the release of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 Preseason Poll Wednesday.
