ETBU’s Certificate In Ministry Programby Mike Midkiff
MARSHALL, Texas (5/11/13)- The East Texas Baptist University Certificate In Ministry (CIM) program announces that three individuals have recently completed the program. James Craver of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Marshall, Sharon Mann of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church in Hallsville, and Wilma McCoy of Sherman Chapel Baptist Church in Judson completed the program.
ETBU President Dr. Dub Oliver presented their certificates during a special ceremony held at the Soda Lake Baptist Association office (SLBA). SLBA Director of Missions Randy Babin is the coordinator/teacher for the program.
The CIM program consists of 18 courses taken directly from ETBU’s on-campus religion degree curriculum and is designed for anyone who is seeking entry-level preparation for ministry service. Anyone is eligible for this program of study which provides foundational theological education.
Classes meet on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Soda Lake Baptist Association office located at 2109 Victory Drive. The cost per class is $125 plus the cost of any books. A one-time enrollment fee of $25 is charged for beginning students.
The next Fall CIM term begins August 22 and the courses offered are: Introduction to Christian History, Introduction to Christian Doctrine, and Baptist History. For information about the CIM program, call 903-938-0756 or email email@example.com.
