ETBU Miss ETBU Pageant To Be Held On Saturday, March 23

MARSHALL, Texas (3/19/13)- East Texas Baptist University will hold its 57th Miss ETBU Pageant on Saturday, March 23, 2013, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The pageant will be held in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center with eight contestants competing for the crown. The event is free and the community is invited to attend.
The 2013 Miss ETBU contestants are: sophomore Caroline Chabata of Mansfield, junior Taylor Davis of Bivins; junior Macey Freeman of Midlothian; sophomore Amanda Gill of Austin; freshman Jordan Hendricks of Millington, Tenn.; junior Ester Jeong of Round Rock; junior Kaytlin Norman of Katy; and junior Shelbie Welk of Caddo Mills;
The winner will be crowned by the 2012 Miss ETBU, Carolyn Stevens. The contestants will be judged on personal interview (25%), talent (20%), beauty (20%), student and faculty/staff vote (20%), and question and response (15%).
The Miss ETBU Pageant is sponsored by the Student Government Association and is designed to select the young lady who is most representative of ETBU. The candidates are nominated by campus organizations.
