ETBU's Mary Slaughter Featured on KTAL-TV

KTAL-TV: MARSHALL, TX (1/23/13) - Coming out of Athens, LA, Mary Slaughter had full-ride scholarship offers from several Division I & II universities, but chose to play at Division III, non-scholarship East Texas Baptist.

Her mother gave her the blessing the to play at ETBU, but in exchange for her daughter's services, she made coach Dustin Howard make a promise.

"The promise I made to her mother is I would make sure that we would hang in there and do whatever we could to help her get her degree," Dustin Howard, ETBU head women's basketball coach, said.
