ETBU Present Handel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 7th


MARSHALL, Texas (12/03/12)-The East Texas Baptist University School of Fine Arts in cooperation with the Marshall Regional Arts Council will present Handel’s "Messiah” at 7:30 p.m. in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center located on the campus. The choirs of ETBU, Longview’s Greggton United Methodist and First Baptist churches, along with singers from Wiley College, Central Baptist Church of Marshall and First United Methodist Church of Marshall are scheduled to perform.

"Presenting Handel’s masterpiece is an exciting way to complete our year-long Centennial Celebration,” said ETBU Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Justin Hodges, who will be directing the performance. "We thought of no better way to celebrate than by reaching out and sharing in this celebration with these wonderful groups from our community and the East Texas area.”

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or by calling the Marshall Regional Arts Council at 903-935-4484.
