ETBU Names A New Sports Information Director

MARSHALL, Texas (8/15/12)-East Texas Baptist University Director of Athletics Kent Reeves has announced the hiring of Adam Ledyard as Sports Information Director. Ledyard comes to ETBU from Judson University in Elgin, Illinois, were he served as Associate Director of Athletics and Sports Information Director.

"We are excited to have Adam join our athletic staff at East Texas Baptist University,” said Reeves. "Adam has had experience as a Sports Information Director both within our Division and within our conference (ASC) which was a plus for our search committee.”

Ledyard has served at Judson University since 2007, before that he was the Director of Communications at the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake, Illinois. During his career, he has been the Sports Information Director at both McMurry University (former ASC member) and Southwest Baptist University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from Olivet Nazarene University. While at Olivet, he served as a student assistant in the Sports Information Department.

"I am excited to become a Tiger and work for a great school with strong athletic programs. I have seen God’s hand at work in this whole process and I can’t wait to bring my family to East Texas. I am also thrilled to be back in the American Southwest Conference which is one of the best in NCAA Division III,” said Ledyard. Ledyard, and his wife, Thea, have two sons, Samson and Ezekiel.

ETBU is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and competes at the NCAA Division III level. The ETBU Tigers field teams in football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross-country, men’s and women’s tennis, softball, and baseball. The Tigers are members of American Southwest Conference.
