Craft-A-Palooza another sticky success

Amber Smith

Glue, paint, and picture frames flew from table to table as students in-dulged in Linebery Hall’s an-nual Craft-A-Palooza this past Wednesday. Upon entering the Linebery lobby, ravenous crafters were presented with a picture frame of their choice. Provided were heart, rect-angular, and square-shaped frames. However, before em-barking into the world of craft-ing madness, they were en-couraged to partake in a door prize. Students were asked to inscribe their name on a slip of paper and dispense it into the drawing bucket.Once the raffle tickets were signed the artists were sent out to create their master-pieces. From multiple basic beads, buttons, and stickers to paints, strings, and scrapbook paper, there were many raw materials waiting to be exploit-ed. With such a wide variety of materials, the students were able to craft to their hearts content.Along with the crafts there was a selection of snacks simply waiting to be devoured. The strawberries, bananas, animal crackers, vanilla wa-fers, and marshmallows care-fully placed around the main attraction: the chocolate foun-tain. However, the fun did not stop with the crafts and food. Remember the raffle tickets from the beginning of the par-ty! Throughout the night the Lineberry Staff announced the door prize winners. Those picked received a frame en-graved with the word “love.”Junior Anna Spangler en-joyed the evening.“I had a lot of fun,” she said. “My room-mate and I have said that Craft-A-Palooza has always been our favorite activity. It is right up there with Christ-mas.” She and many others spent their evening crafting and enjoying the company.
