Admissions Requirements
First-time Freshmen or students with less than 24 transferable hours must meet one of the following Admissions Standards:
ACT score of 18 or above (excluding writing)
OR
SAT score of 860 or above (excluding writing)
OR
Graduate in upper 30% of graduating class
{Note: Students who are accepted based on class rank must still provide official ACT or SAT scores.}
Graduates from non-accredited institutions or home-schools must have a composite ACT of 18 (excluding Writing) or a Math/Verbal composite SAT score of 860 for acceptance to the University.
Non-graduates of high school may submit a General Education Diploma (GED) certificate. These prospective students must also have a composite ACT of 18 (excluding Writing) or a Math/Verbal composite SAT score of 860 for acceptance to the University.
Transfer Students
Transfer students who have earned at least 24 hours of transferable credit from other institutions do not need to meet Freshman admission standards. Transfer students who have less than 24 transferable hours must also meet the above mentioned Freshman admission standards. All transfers students must submit all official transcripts from all colleges attended. For transcripts to be considered official, they must come directly to ETBU from the issuing institution in the mail or SPEEDE. All students must be in good academic standing at the last college attended.
Non-Degree Students
Non-degree seeking students may be admitted if they are in transit from another post-secondary institution within the current academic year or the one preceding the current year. Enrollment is limited to 7 credit hours in any one term. A non-degree seeking application is required and a letter of good standing from the last college attended may be substituted for official transcripts. Those spending consecutive semesters, other than the summer terms in transit are required to follow regular procedures for admission. Graduates of accredited four year institutions may be admitted as non-degree seeking students for up to the maximum hours allowable per term. Students wishing to apply course work toward a degree must be formally admitted to the University.
Re-entering Students
Students who have been away from ETBU for 2 full semesters (fall or spring) must reapply to the University for acceptance. These students must provide official transcripts from all colleges attended since departing ETBU and must be in good academic standing at the last college attended. Re-entering students are not permitted to re-apply for academic or Christian Leadership funds. Students aid will be renewed at the level they were previously awarded.
